Back in business

Wetherby Senior’s newest entrepreneurs are putting their business brains together, as they start Young Enterprise 2023-24.

Following a competitive application process, our new Young Enterprise members are now meeting regularly to plan their new business. Over the coming year, they will work together to set up their own organisational structure, raise funds, bring their product idea to life, and market it.

Ms Holmes, Head of Careers at Wetherby Senior, explains: “We received an impressive 36 applications from Year 12 boys and selected 16 to take part in this year’s Young Enterprise. Applications were judged on their quality and passion for business. Our Young Enterprise team represents all disciplines within our Sixth Form, as we received successful applications from sixth formers studying humanities, arts and science subjects, as well as business and economics.”

Our 2023-24 Young Enterprise team has big business shoes to fill – last year’s team made it to the finals of the Young Enterprise Company of the Year Awards 2023, Central and North London Showcase.

Young Enterprise is a national charity providing hands-on programmes, resources and training in enterprise and financial education. Since 1962, Young Enterprise has worked with over four million young people.

Wetherby Senior sixth formers have been snapping around London, taking photos of what our capital city means to them.
