Wetherby Senior is an independent day school for boys, aged 11-18 years, located in Marylebone. Our School offers financial assistance in the form of bursaries through the Gold Standard Charitable Trust.

Why donate to the Wetherby Senior School Bursary Fund?

Studying at Wetherby Senior is an extraordinary experience and we are immensely proud of the opportunities that we offer, which have helped to shape and transform the lives of many boys.

Our Bursary Fund allows us to provide access to our School to boys and families who come from different economic backgrounds. This has the dual impact of making a life-changing difference for the individual pupil, while broadening and enhancing the experience and perspectives of all our young people.

The Gold Standard Charitable Trust

The Gold Standard Charitable Trust raises money for bursaries at all school within Inspired Education’s UK family. However, we have a dedicated Wetherby Senior School Bursary Fund with the goal of the supporting boys already enrolled at Wetherby Senior who have been awarded bursaries, as well as adding one or more additional pupils each year. Donations to this fund will be designated to boys at Wetherby Senior. (If the needs of Wetherby Senior pupils are completely met, funds may be used where the need is greatest among the schools that the Gold Standard Charitable Trust serves).

Tax Advantaged Giving – “Gift Aid It!”

The UK’s tax laws allow you to increase your giving impact substantially if you apply for Gift Aid. This means that families in the 45% tax bracket, who claim Gift Aid, have an impact 82% greater than the net cost of their gift. For those in the 40% tax bracket, the impact is an additional 67% and for the 20% bracket it is still 25% extra for pupils The table below shows how this works in more detail:
