Form Tutors

Each form at Wetherby Senior has a form tutor and he or she is the pupil’s main point of contact. The Form Tutor is responsible for the supervision, guidance and care of the pupils in his/her tutor group, meeting them every morning for registration at 8.25 a.m. and also running the weekly PSHE sessions. This enables them to get to know the boys and to deal with any issues that may arise.

Boys remain with the same form tutor in Year 7 and 8 to ensure continuity of care during the boys’ early years at Wetherby. A further group of boys join the School in Year 9 and the forms are mixed to ensure integration of all the boys and new tutors are assigned to each of these new forms.

The Sixth Form students are supported by a team of specialist Sixth Form tutors who are trained to supports the boys with options, university applications and possible careers. The boys meet with their tutor every day and he or she is the first point of contact for students, parents and staff, fostering a strong sense of community.
