University Identity Challenge

Wetherby Senior pupils had to guess the identity of a number of top US universities, at our Sixth Form’s recent US Forum.

Taking place in Hannah House, our US Forum involved representatives from eleven world-leading US universities. As in previous years, our Sixth Form’s popular annual event was open to boys in Years 11 to 13 who have expressed an interest in future study in North America.

Ms Maroudi, Deputy Head of Sixth Form, explains: “Initially, our visitors kept their university identity hidden as they took part in a Q&A session. Slowly our boys had to guess the college and, eventually, all the universities were revealed. Our boys then had the opportunity to talk further to these university representatives and find out which institutions matched their interests.”

Taking part in our US Forum were representatives from New York University, University of Southern California, Northeastern University, University of Florida, Bentley University, Suffolk University, University of Vermont, and University of South Carolina.

North America remains a popular study destination for Wetherby Senior pupils and our Sixth Form provides strong support for such applications, including US Study Advisors to offer individual guidance alongside events like the US Forum. In just four years, our sixth formers have received fifty offers to study in the USA and Canada, with alumni are currently studying at world-leading institutions including UPenn, NYU, Notre Dame and USC.

Wetherby Senior sixth formers have been snapping around London, taking photos of what our capital city means to them.
