Our Deputy Head Boy: Operations
Year 13, Jonathan, is Wetherby Senior’s Deputy Head Boy: Operations for 2023-24. He joined our School in Year 9 from Wetherby Prep and is studying A Levels in Maths, Economics and Politics.
“I’m delighted to be taking on a Deputy Head Boy role, as I have really enjoyed my years at Wetherby Senior. My time in our Sixth Form has been particularly rewarding, since I’ve been able to focus fully on the A Level subjects that most interest me, and I also loved taking part in Model United Nations, a really great experience.
“My advice to younger pupils, when first joining Wetherby Senior, would be to make lots of friends and take advantage of the co-curricular opportunities available, like sport. After swimming competitively for a number of years, I am currently in training for an ironman competition and in the process of setting up a new rugby club at Wetherby Senior.
“As a sixth former at Wetherby Senior, you enjoy much more freedom and learn to manage your time (for example, making good use of private study periods during the day). This year I will be applying to study PPE at a number of top universities around the UK and in Ireland, alongside my responsibilities as Deputy Head Boy.”
