How to Apply – Occasional Places

Although Wetherby Senior’s main entry points are at 11+, 13+ and 16+, places occasionally become available within our Years 8 and 10.

Occasional places at Wetherby Senior

Places are occasionally available within Years 8 and 10 at Wetherby Senior. Unfortunately, we do not accept applicants into Year 11 or 13 unless under extremely exceptional circumstances.

We also offer occasional place applications for boys who have missed our 13+ process during Year 6. Our Year 9 occasional place assessments start from summer term of Year 7. Candidates who apply after the Autumn Term of Year 6 application deadline will not be assessed until this time.

Our occasional place assessments are carried out throughout the year (approximately half-termly) and our Registrar will invite those who have applied to the next assessment date, as it is scheduled.

If you are interested in an occasional place, please contact our Registrar to discuss on email: registrar@wetherbysenior.co.uk.

REGISTRATION FORM

Please note: if you have previously booked to attend a Wetherby Senior open event, have completed our School’s enquiry form or have applied for another child in the past two years, then select our sign-in here option, below, and complete our registration form via our parent dashboard.

Fluency in English

To fully access our curriculum and play a full part in the life of Wetherby Senior, prospective pupils must have a good level of written and spoken English, or must demonstrate the aptitude to acquire it quickly. Normally pupils should have been educated in the English medium for at least three years before coming to our School. Tuition in English as an Additional Language (EAL) can be arranged (at additional cost) to support boys that require it.

Equal treatment

Wetherby Senior is fully committed to our legal and moral obligation to treat all applicants equally, regardless of a candidate’s race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or social background.
