Music

Music is a vibrant dimension of life at Wetherby Senior, with all our boys encouraged to develop their individual talents and interests.

Learning a musical instrument

All boys in Year 7 at Wetherby Senior are taught to play a brass or string instrument, with teaching aided by a team of professional musicians who regularly perform with Europe’s finest orchestras and bands.

Our Music Department also offers tuition in a wide range of instruments and around 200 boys enjoy individual music lessons each week.

Wetherby Senior has a number of popular music ensembles and an active School Choir. Concerts and recitals take place every term, enabling our pupils to demonstrate their musical talent and gain public performance experience.
