A sweet taste of Spain
Wetherby Senior’s Year 9 pupils have been creating a tasty Spanish dessert to celebrate reaching the end of term.
Our young linguists prepared arroz con leche, a type of rice pudding, following a traditional Spanish recipe this week.
Ms Miguez, Head of Spanish at Wetherby Senior, said: “Alongside testing their skills at following a Spanish recipe and creating a Spanish classic, our boys had to make a video, in Spanish, explaining the process that they followed.
“In our lesson earlier this week, I taste tested all their dishes. They were delicious and just what our boys needed to help them gather their strength after this busy term learning Spanish!”
Arroz con leche (Spanish rice pudding) is a tasty dessert made with warm cinnamon and fresh lemon flavours mixed in with the creamy rice.
