Wetherby Senior pupils have been reading all about it, with delivery of a national British newspaper last week.

To mark Non Fiction November, Wetherby Senior’s Librarian, Mr Munday, worked with the I newspaper to ensure a publication arrived in Marylebone for every pupil last week.

Ms Murray, Head of English at Wetherby Senior, said: “Thanks to Mr Munday, copies of the I newspaper were handed out to boys during English lessons, and during form time for our sixth former. Our young people were then given time to read them, learning more about a newspaper’s structure and working to make connections between news stories and their classroom curriculums.”

Originally set up by the Federation of Children’s Book Groups, Non Fiction November is a wonderful annual celebration that aims to highlight the importance of information books and to promote reading non-fiction for pleasure. With topics covering almost every subject, non-fiction can teach young people about the world, in entertaining and illustrative ways, and is also a fantastic way to stimulate discussion and inspire the future generation!

Wetherby Senior sixth formers have been snapping around London, taking photos of what our capital city means to them.
