Rickshaw Run 2023
Wetherby Senior’s IT Operations Engineer is set to undertake a 2000 km race, to raise funds for life-changing surgery for children.
Mr Kabaria will fly to India in December, to take part in Rickshaw Run 2023. Starting in Chitrakoot near Varanasi, the event sees participants race rickshaws (tuk tuks) to Raan of Kutch, Gujarat, which is also Mr Kabaria’s home city.
Mr Kabaria explains, “Our race is supporting the refurbishment of a dental unit, where children born with a cleft lip/cleft palate can then have free or very affordable surgery to help them integrate into normal society.
“We are looking to raise £500,000 through donations and corporate sponsorships. Any donation big or small will make a huge difference in helping a child live a normal life – currently we have raised close to £375,000.”
