Our Senior Prefect: Head of Effra

Year 13, Edward, is Wetherby Senior’s Senior Prefect: Head of Effra for 2023-24. He joined our School in Year 7 and is studying A Levels in Economics, History and Philosophy.

“I’m really happy to be a Senior Prefect role, and to be Head of Effra, as it means that I can support our School community and give back to our School community in my final year at Wetherby Senior.

“Throughout my time at Wetherby Senior, I have been heavily involved in music and have loved all the different performance opportunities that I have been given over the years. I play the trumpet, so I have performed in numerous concerts at our School and at venues across London, including at Coutts Bank. I have also taken part in several tours overseas with our School’s Brass Band. All have been great fun, especially our Brass Band trips abroad. Wetherby Senior’s Music Department, led by Mr Martin, is simply fantastic!

“As Head of Effra, I can say that Effra is the best Trib – look at the latest Trib standings and we’re at the top! Effra is also a really caring Trib and we give back to the wider community and get fully involved in the life of our School.

“In this final year at Wetherby Senior, I will be studying for my final A Level exams and submitting my applications for university study, alongside my responsibilities as Senior Prefect: Head of Effra.”
