Congratulations to Wetherby Senior’s Class of 23 on a string of strong A Level results enabling boys to join top universities around the globe.
A Level Results Day 2023 saw:
These results are well above the national trend which shows 26.5% of grades awarded at A* or A, and 52.7% of pupils achieving A* to B.
Amongst those smiling in Marylebone on Thursday was our Head Boy 2022-23. Matteo was awarded A*A*A*A and will now fly to the USA on Sunday, to take up his place at Ivy League institution, University of Pennsylvania. Matteo said: “I’m really thrilled with my results, and I am looking forward to starting my studies in the States.”
Pictured, below, with Matteo are Edward and Jamie. Like Matteo, they achieved a suite of A* and A grades, with Jamie now set to read economics and finance at Glasgow and Edward heading to Bath to study management. Both were overjoyed with their results and Jamie said: “My time at Wetherby Senior has been fantastic with enthusiastic and supportive teachers, plus many opportunities to take part in sport and co-curricular activities. I’m so happy with my grades – A*AA – and can’t wait to settle into student life in Glasgow.”
Joe Silvester, Wetherby Senior’s Headmaster, said: “All at Wetherby Senior are proud of, and pleased for, our Class of 23.
“While the national trend appears to show top A Level results have fallen for a second year running, we’re delighted with the brilliant grades achieved by our Class of 23, which demonstrates the hard work of our boys plus the strong support given by Wetherby Senior teachers and by parents.”
