Class of 23 – Jack

Year 13, Jack, has offers to read chemistry at top universities across the USA, such as USC and USCB, and at Russell Group universities in the UK, including UCL, Edinburgh and Bristol.

“I joined Wetherby Senior in Year 9 and, ironically, my least favourite subjects at that time were maths and science! However, I found the enthusiasm and passion of our School’s teachers to be contagious, and it encouraged me to delve deeper in these lessons, so I developed my own love of these subjects.

“I am now studying my A Levels in Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, and Spanish, and have applied to read chemistry at universities across the UK and North America. I have had a fantastic experience within our Sixth Form, and it has been great to further explore the topics that, now, interest me the most in my A Levels.

“The US college admissions process, in comparison to the UK with UCAS, is very focussed on you as an individual, so I’ve found the process of writing my application essays quite enjoyable, as I have learned a lot about myself. In addition, writing such a huge number of application essays has greatly improved my writing skills!

“Throughout my time in Marylebone, I have received brilliant advice from School staff about my university applications, alongside great support from my friends. Wetherby Senior is a close-knit community and I feel lucky to be part of this wonderful network.”
