It’s snow joke to say that Wetherby Senior boys enjoyed some super skiing in Canada.
Over half-term, a group from Years 10 to 13 spent time on the pistes of Panorama, a resort and alpine village in one of North America’s oldest mountains. As well as skiing, our boys proved themselves to be rather adept with the camera – please head to our School’s Instagram page to enjoy the skiing videos they filmed!
Mr Underwood, Deputy to Head of Lower School and Head of Tribs, said: “It was a fantastic trip and the boys behaved brilliantly, on and off the slopes! Alongside some brilliant skiing, our boys enjoyed a quiz night, music bingo and smores on a campfire during our last night.
“Skiing in Panorama was truly amazing. We didn’t need to queue for any lifts and there were so many runs that, at times, it felt like we had the entire mountain to ourselves!”
Ms Maroudi, Acting Head of Geography, also accompanied our boys. She added: “Thanks must go to Mr Underwood for arranging this wonderful trip and for ensuring that our accommodation was just 30 seconds from the ski slopes, so we didn’t have far to go after a fun day on the mountain!”
A group of current Years 7 to 9 will be skiing in Folgarida, Italy, during our forthcoming Easter holiday. For more information about our School’s February 2024 trips (Years 10 to 13 will go to Panorama and Years 7 to 9 to Borgata, Italy), please speak to Mr Underwood.
