Class of 23 – Guillaume
Year 13, Guillaume, is applying to read pharmacy at a number of top universities, including Russell Group institutions like Manchester, Newcastle and Cardiff.
“I joined Wetherby Senior in Year 9 and I am now studying for my A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Business Studies within our Sixth Form. I’ve found my time as a sixth former to be incredibly rewarding, as you can focus completely on the subjects and topics that you are most passionate about.
“Wetherby Senior has been very supportive of my university ambitions. I am particularly grateful to my teachers from our Biology Department, who provided strong guidance and advice on my personal statement.
“I recently undertook some fascinating work experience in the Biochemistry Department at UCL, where researchers were examining the effect of two proteins on the lungs, which could help understanding around immunity and Covid. It was amazing to be part of this research and to get a chance to work with professionals at one of the world’s leading universities, so I know that I am making the right decision in applying to study pharmacy next year.
“While I am excited about my future university plans, I will also be sad to leave our School. I have been very happy in Marylebone, and I have found Wetherby Senior to be a great community.”
