Young explorers

Wetherby Senior’s youngest pupils are being invited to explore new places, cultures, and environmental issues, all from the comfort of our School in Marylebone.

As part of Wetherby Senior’s innovative co-curricular programme, aiming to extend knowledge, learning and experience beyond the curriculum, our Geography Department is delighted to introduce Young Explorers, aka our Lower School Geography Club.

Ms McWhirter, from Wetherby Senior’s Geography Department explains: “Geography is so much more than just learning about coastal processes, it’s about understanding the world around us and the relationships between people, cultures, and the environment. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our Lower School Geography Club!

“Meeting weekly, our club will provide boys with an opportunity to delve deeper into the fascinating subject of geography, and to explore new places, cultures, and environmental issues. Members will participate in map reading challenges, build their understanding of global issues, and enjoy group discussions about current events. By joining Young Explorers, our pupils will develop critical thinking skills, gaining a deeper appreciation for diversity, and a greater understanding of the world we live in.”

Wetherby Senior’s Young Explorers (Lower School Geography Club) meets from 1:35pm-2pm on Tuesdays, in H12. Please speak to Ms McWhirter for more information.

Wetherby Senior sixth formers have been snapping around London, taking photos of what our capital city means to them.
