Class of 23 – Charlie
Year 13, Charlie, has been accepted by the prestigious NYU Stern School of Business to read business, technology and entrepreneurship.
“I joined Wetherby Senior in Year 9 and I am now studying for my A Levels in Physics, Mathematics, Economics and Spanish within our Sixth Form.
“In the future, I want to work in investment banking so I researched the top courses and institutions that could help me achieve this goal. I discovered that NYU Stern has a fantastic track record in securing such employment for its alumni and that, along with the brilliant opportunity to live in New York, made it my number one college!
“However, since NYU Stern is such an amazing university, I knew it would be challenging to get a place. Luckily staff at Wetherby Senior were available to support me with my application and essays, as well as provide expert advice on additional institutions to apply to, in case I was unsuccessful with my NYU Stern application.
“There is a wonderful community across Wetherby Senior and I’ve made some great friends, which has proved invaluable while applying to university. For example, one friend in my year visited several universities in the USA, so he was able to give us all firsthand feedback and thoughts on different colleges. In addition, once I received my offer from NYU Stern, I spoke to a Wetherby Senior alumnus, who started studying in New York this year, to get advice and tips on my move to the Big Apple!”
