An outstanding entry

Congratulations to Wetherby Senior sixth former, Dan, whose entry for the inaugural Gresham Competition was described as “outstanding.”

Current Year 12, Dan, took part in the prestigious new competition last term, which challenged young people from across the UK to record a five-minute presentation on the environment/sustainability. The competition aims to build research skills and improve abilities to communicate complex information in a concise and compelling manner, which can help with future university applications and with job interviews.

The Provost of Gresham College said: “Our judges thoroughly enjoyed Dan’s submission and felt he successfully communicated varied information in an enjoyable and clear way.”

Mrs Deedat, Head of Sixth Form, added: “I’m delighted that Dan’s hard work and effort has been acknowledged by Gresham College. With support from Wetherby Senior staff, including Ms Smith and Mr Hayes, he produced a very strong submission for the competition, so should feel proud of his achievement.”

Gresham College is an institution of higher learning, located near Holborn. Founded in 1596, it hosts over 140 free public lectures each year, with these talks also made available online.

Wetherby Senior sixth formers have been snapping around London, taking photos of what our capital city means to them.
