Elevating exam prep
Wetherby Senior’s Year 11 have been receiving bespoke study skills training, in preparation for their GCSE exams.
Visiting Marylebone on Wednesday, Elevate Education ran two sessions with our Year 11 cohort, covering topics like time allocation during exam preparation, techniques for managing stress, and semantic learning techniques for higher level memorisation.
Ms Dodson, Assistant Head: Head of Middle School, said: “Thank you to Elevate Education for their informative, useful, and fun sessions on exam preparation with Year 11. Our boys were provided with valuable advice and expertise on how to prepare for and ace their exams, and on how to improve memory recall in exams
“With mock exams taking place after the Christmas holidays, Elevate Education gave our pupils plenty to think about and work on, in advance of these important exams.”
Wetherby Senior’s Years 11 and 13 will be sitting their mock GCSE or A Level examinations from Tuesday 10th to Friday 20th January, with their examination timetables available on Firefly. During this period, our pupils will be on leave and only need to attend school to sit their examinations.
