In the Drama Studio where it happens

The stars of Wetherby Senior’s Upper School play may be young but there is nothing scrappy about their performance, following training with a trailblazing West End choreographer.

For the last two weeks, our boys have enjoyed additional rehearsal time with Alexzandra Sarmiento, a performer and choreographer who is famous for being the dance captain in the original London cast of Hamilton. She has been working closely with Wetherby Senior cast members to further develop and improve their performance in a number of key scenes.

Ms Twomey, Head of Drama at Wetherby Senior, said: “It was awesome, wow, to have Alexzandra at our School and supporting our boys over the last two weeks. Working with an industry professional gives our young people a true insight on life in the theatre, and we are so grateful to Alexzandra for all her help and advice.

“Our boys continue to rehearse for our Upper School play several times a week, and will have a full day rehearsal on Sunday 4th December. I’m so proud of their hard work and dedication, and I can’t wait for our audience to see Bus Stop on stage at RADA, on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th December.”

Don’t wait for it – book your tickets for Bus Stop tickets via RADA’s website here.

Originally from New York and now living in London, Alexzandra Sarmiento has worked extensively on both stage and screen. She is currently choreographing multiple projects in development.

Wetherby Senior sixth formers have been snapping around London, taking photos of what our capital city means to them.
