Majed joined Year 9 at Wetherby Senior in September 2022 and, after just over half a term, has settled brilliantly into life at our School.
“I came to Wetherby Senior from The Hampshire School and, on my first day in Marylebone, didn’t know any other boys here. Of course, I was a little nervous, but I immediately met other members of Year 9 and made friends. Some boys were like me and new to Wetherby Senior, while others had joined in Year 7. Meeting other members of my year group, and quickly building these friendships, helped me feel comfortable and at home in Marylebone.
“We had a great induction programme on our first day, meeting our form tutor (my form tutor is also new to Wetherby Senior, which is nice!) and taking part in a sort of treasure hunt, which helped us learn our way around our School’s two buildings.
“Our Year 9 residential trip to Dorset, in mid-September, was a fun way to get to know each other better. I particularly enjoyed playing football there and I loved taking part in canoeing.
“To anyone thinking of joining Wetherby Senior in Year 9, I would say – be yourself and you will soon make new friends. All the teachers are welcoming and kind, so it can quickly feel like you have always been a pupil at Wetherby Senior.”
