Wetherby Senior’s Middle School Ambassador Awards programme has launched, providing a great way for boys to further build key leadership skills.

As part of our Middle School Ambassador scheme, pupils can now take part in this awards programme. Boys will work through bronze, silver, and gold stages as they continue to develop academic, co-curricular and personal interests, developing their teamwork, organisation, time management and more.

Ms Dodson, Assistant Head: Head of Middle School, explains: “Each level of our Middle School Ambassador Awards has a number of set tasks, that are in line with a given leadership skill and must be completed. For example, communication. Within the bronze level, a pupil must take part in a Trib competition or perform in assembly or at a concert. For silver, a boy must present a topic of their choosing during form time. Finally, for gold, they will need to present at one of our whole School assemblies.

“By taking part in our Middle School Ambassador Awards, boys will further develop transferrable skills in preparation for working life, and build fantastic relationships with staff and peers that benefit their time at Wetherby Senior. Undertaking these different challenges is also great preparation for later becoming a prefect within Wetherby Senior’s Sixth Form, while providing excellent evidence for future university and job applications.”

Wetherby Senior’s Middle School Ambassadors were appointed last term, following a strong application process. They work closely with our School’s prefect team and staff to further improve areas across our Middle School and within our wider Wetherby Senior community.
