In our good books

Congratulations to our new Wetherby Laureates – boys from across all years at Wetherby Senior who have shown excellence in English or Drama.

Wetherby Laureates is an exciting new initiative that comes from our School’s English and Drama Departments, where staff have worked together to nominate pupils for their commitment and contribution to each subject.

Ms Murray, Head of our English Department, explains: “Through our new Wetherby Laureate programme, we aim to further encourage and support boys in their enthusiasm and love for creative subjects. As part of this, we will be arranging many opportunities and trips to further stretch the talents of our Wetherby Laureates, such as writing classes, attendance at university open days, and lectures or talks on English and drama-related subjects.”

Ms Twomey, Head of our Drama Department, added: “As well as enjoying termly meet-up with all our Wetherby Laureates, our first Wetherby Laureates will be treated to a reward theatre trip next term. Both Ms Murray and I are looking forward to working with our Wetherby Laureates over the coming academic year.”

Please keep an eye on our School’s website and social media channels for further news and profiles of our new Wetherby Laureates during the year.
