A Level Results 2022

Congratulations to Wetherby Senior’s Class of 22 on a fantastic set of A Level results, which mean our alumni will now join top universities in the UK, continental Europe and North America.

Today’s results show a string of excellent outcomes for Wetherby Senior’s outgoing Year 13, including:
• 50% of A Level grades awarded at A* and A
• 79% of A Level grades awarded at A* to B
• 100% pass rate

In addition, 20% of Wetherby Senior sixth formers achieved all grades A* to A, and 85% of the cohort have been accepted by their first choice course and university.

Wetherby Senior’s A Level results follow the first in-person exams since 2019, due to the global pandemic. These results also buck what appears to be a national trend for falling grades this year, with just under 36% of A Level entries gaining A and A* grades in summer 2022, compared with 44.3% in summer 2021 (statistics from The Guardian).

Testament to Wetherby Senior’s commitment to supporting boys in their higher education ambitions, our Class of 22 will now take up places on a range of courses at world class institutions. For those boys staying in the UK, the vast majority will be joining Russell Group universities. However, an increasing number of Wetherby Senior alumni will be heading abroad, with prestigious North American colleges proving particularly popular.
