Just add water

As expected, our Soak The Teacher event proved to be one of the most popular attractions at Wetherby Senior’s first Summer Fair.

Raising funds for our School’s chosen charities, our Summer Fair saw pupils and staff take part in over 20 different activities on Friday. Alongside Soak The Teacher, shown below, there was also a coconut shy, giant Jenga, hook the duck and more to enjoy at Hannah House.

Wetherby Senior’s Head of Charity, Mr Thornton, said: “Thank you to everyone who supported our Summer Fair – whether you were managing a stand, buying tokens to take part or volunteering to let boys throw a wet sponge at your face! It was a fantastic Friday afternoon and we raised a lot of money for our chosen charities.

“I’d also like to thank Tommi’s Burgers, Daunt Books, Magnum News, Lord’s and Diwan for their kind donations towards our raffle, and members of our PTA for their help on Friday.”

Co-ordinated with our pupil-led School Council, which is comprised of boys from all years, our Summer Fair saw each Trib take responsibility for a floor of activities, with sixth formers gaining valuable leadership experience as they managed the different stalls.

For 2021-22, Wetherby Senior’s chosen charities are Crisis, West London Mission and Save the Children.

Wetherby Senior sixth formers have been snapping around London, taking photos of what our capital city means to them.
