Here comes the Summer Fair

A number of Wetherby Senior staff will be hoping for sunshine on Friday, as they take part in a Soak The Teacher event at our School’s first Summer Fair.

Raising funds for our School’s three chosen charities, our Summer Fair will see pupils and staff enjoy more than 20 different activities on Friday afternoon. Alongside soak the teacher, there will also be a coconut shy, giant Jenga, hook the duck and more at Hannah House.

Wetherby Senior’s Head of Charity, Mr Thornton, said: “I’m sure our soak the teacher stand will prove popular at our Summer Fair, so I’d like to thank my colleagues for being such good sports and volunteering to take part!”

Co-ordinated with our pupil-led School Council, which is comprised of boys from across all years, our Summer Fair will see each Trib take responsibility for a floor of activities, with sixth formers gaining valuable leadership experience as they manage the different stalls.

Mr Thornton added: “Our first Summer Fair promises to be an excellent event, providing a fun Friday afternoon while raising funds for three very deserving causes.”

For 2021-22, Wetherby Senior’s chosen charities are Crisis, West London Mission and Save the Children.
