Vive la French food

Wetherby Senior pupils found their French teacher was not Lyon, when she said French food was brie-ond belief and really Nice!

Last week, our Year 8 pupils were kept busy in the kitchen, preparing recipes that they followed entirely in French. As well as ensuing our young linguists put their French into practice, their final culinary results were tres bon and enjoyed by all!

Ms Payton, a teacher within Wetherby Senior’s Modern Foreign Languages Department, said: “My Year 8 pupils proved themselves to be real champignons in the kitchen, creating their own stunning dishes from French recipes.

“All the boys did brilliantly and, below, is a picture of Dylan preparing his tasty tarte tatin. However, I would also like to praise Izzy for his crepes, Tameem for his ratatouille, Mark for his confit, Sasah for his crepes suzette, and Nima for his moule frites.”

French cooking is considered by many to be one of the most prestigious and well-respected cuisines in the world.
