Headmaster’s blog 6/05/22

As today’s newsletter drops into your inbox, most of our boys should be completing this term’s Field Day activities.

Our Field Day plans have taken full advantage of our central London location, with pupils at the Museum of London, Royal Albert Hall and the Old Operating Theatre Museum, to name just a few of the diverse and interesting venues being visited today. Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) for feedback and photos from our Field Day, which will also be outlined in next week’s newsletter.

I say most of our boys should be completing this term’s Field Day activities, since we do have many in Years 10 and 12 taking part in their Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions over the weekend. I hope the weather conditions remain favourable, meaning they are able to build their skills and experience whilst exploring the British countryside. In addition, Years 11 and 13 have had a study day, as they continue to prepare for those all-important exams.

With exams underway in earnest from next week, I’d like to wish all our boys the best of luck in their GCSEs and A Levels. Our current Year 13 hold offers to study at top universities across the UK, continental Europe and North America, so I’m delighted to feature Alexander, who should be joining Bocconi University, in Milan, this autumn.

Finally, on the subject of exams, please do have a look at our request for parent volunteers to help with exam invigilation this year. It would be of great benefit to our School, and to our boys sitting their exams, if some of you can spare time to help with this. Please contact my PA, Ms Hodkinson, for more information. Thank you.
