Time for tea

Wetherby Senior hosted a fantastic afternoon tea for members of the Penfold Community last week.

Taking place in our Marylebone Lane building, this event was well supported by pupils from Years 8, 10 and 12, plus our School’s catering staff who supplied delicious sandwiches and cakes. The afternoon began with music provided by Year 10 boys, then all pupils took part in a quiz and board games, ensuring the Penfold Community visitors were made to feel incredibly welcome.

Wetherby Senior teacher, Mr Hayes, said: “Our pupils were, as ever, an absolute credit to our School. This was the first time that some members of the Penfold Community had come together since December 2019, so we were honoured that we could make it happen at Wetherby Senior.

“I am sure this well-attended afternoon tea will mark the beginning of many more interactions between Wetherby Senior and the Penfold Community.”

The Penfold Community is made up of Westminster residents, aged over 50.
