Cooking up a healthy storm

Wetherby Senior’s Cookery Club has been disproving the saying, “Too many cooks spoil the broth!”

This term, a group of pupils have joined our weekly Cooking Club, learning how to create fast, simple, healthy and easy-to-make meals.

Ms Garcia, from our MFL Department, explains: “Every Friday, a group of dedicated pupils have been preparing a different meal, from yoghurt bowls to steak, and from burritos to banana bread. They have loved cooking every recipe and, especially, tasting it afterwards.

“I’m delighted that our boys have learned that healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring or time consuming, and I’d like to say well done to our brilliant young chefs – Cooper F, Daniel H, Jay J, Adrian LM, Isaac M, Jake P, Breck R, Leo S, Ludovico S and Joshua V.”

After Christmas, Wetherby Senior’s Cookery Club will return as Fitness Cooking Club. Interested pupils should sign up quickly to take part.
