A close shave

Hair in November, gone in December – Wetherby Senior staff and pupils have now shaved off the moustaches they grew last month.

Throughout November, a group of staff and pupils took part in Movember, a global campaign raising awareness of men’s wellbeing. This annual event sees men around the world grow facial hair during the month of November, to increase understanding of men’s health issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide.

Mr Tucker, from our Sport Department, said: “A big well done to the sixth formers who joined PE staff in fundraising for Movember this year. Moustaches in varying sizes and shapes were on display but it was all for a good cause and fun was had along the way.

“Thank you to those who have donated already but please use this link if you would like to add to our efforts.”
