Anti-Bullying Week 2023

Wetherby Senior’s Middle School Ambassadors have been planning and providing powerful PSHE lessons for their peers.

As part of Anti-Bullying Week 2023, a group of our Middle School ambassadors prepared a lesson and resources for Years 9 and 10, before then leading the lesson. Taking place during PSHE (Personal Social Health Education) time, our Middle School leaders led discussions about what bullying is, how banter can turn into something more hurtful, and what we can all do to stop bullying.

Ms Dodson, Assistant Head: Head of Middle School, said: “I was very proud of our Middle School ambassadors for taking the lead in planning and providing these fantastic lessons on such an important topic.”

These PSHE lessons took place after a number of Wetherby Senior’s Middle School ambassadors travelled to Essex earlier this term, where they completed inspiring and impactful anti-bullying training with the Diana Award. This charity’s Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme helps equip young people and school staff with the tools to tackle bullying behaviour head on.
