Our Head Boy

Year 13, Paul, is Wetherby Senior’s Head Boy for 2023-24. He joined our School in Year 9, from St Philip’s School, and is studying A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Geography.

“I applied to be a prefect as I wanted to give back to our School community, since I have really enjoyed my time at Wetherby Senior and have always felt supported during my years in Marylebone. In addition, I thought being a prefect in Year 13 would be an interesting experience, as it is a chance to take on leadership and work as part of a team with my friends. I submitted my application form and undertook an interview last year, and was delighted to learn that I would be Head Boy during my final year at Wetherby Senior.

“Before the start of this new academic year, I attended a fun training course with the other prefects here in Marylebone. Now, as we start the autumn term, I will be meeting with all the prefects regularly, so we can set our objectives and goals, and ensure we work together to support life across Wetherby Senior.

“My advice for new pupils would be to get involved with as many co-curricular activities and clubs as possible. These opportunities, like sport or drama, really help you to settle into our School and they are also a great way to make friends from across all years. For example, during my time at Wetherby Senior, I have loved taking part in drama productions, like our Upper School Play at RADA last December.

“Wetherby Senior’s Sixth Form is fantastic and I love studying at such a wonderful central London location. This year, I will be applying to read economics and computer science at a number of universities across the UK and overseas, with support and guidance from our Sixth Form staff.”
