Marcos Burnett Photography Competition 2023

Congratulations to the winner of our Marcos Burnett Photography Competition 2023 – William in Year 7!

With a theme of ‘Spring’, Wetherby Senior’s popular annual photography competition saw entries from across our School. While William was awarded first prize, Bosco in Year 10 was runner up, and Fitz (Year 7) and Max (Year 9) were both highly commended.

The Marcos Burnett Photography Competition remembers former pupil, Marcos, who was passionate about photography and nature, and whose life was cut tragically short by the 2016 Italian earthquake.

The Burnett family said: “Wetherby Senior’s boys certainly don’t make our job of selecting a winner easy, since they all supplied great photographs of a very high standard. However, we loved the lizard and vibrant colours in William’s entry.”

William’s photograph will feature in the next edition of The Barometer, our pupil-led magazine.
