Financial friendships

Wetherby Senior sixth formers have been learning how good human relationships are vital to ensuring business success.

Visiting Marylebone earlier this week, Alan Smith, the CEO of Capital Asset Management, gave an inspiring talk to our young people on a hugely important side to success in the financial sector – the power of good human relationships.

Ms Holmes, Head of Careers at Wetherby Senior, explained: “Alan outlined how trust underpins every good business and that, in order to build trust, you need to work hard and prove, day after day, that you are doing your very best in your client’s interest. He talked to our boys about how important it is to get the basics right – from saying please and thank you to showing up on time and keeping your promises.

“Alan also shared his own pathway into the finance industry, talking about how he set up his business (Capital Asset Management) in 2024. He provided a fascinating insight, and we are very grateful that he could visit and offer such invaluable advice to our sixth formers.”

Capital Asset Management is an independent, chartered financial planning firm based in the heart of the city of London.
