A super second supper

Wetherby Senior’s second annual Prefect Dinner took place last Friday, celebrating the hard work of our current prefect team.

A formal, black-tie event, our Prefect Dinner included toasts to our School and our prefect team, as well as speeches by our Headmaster and by our current Head Boy, Matteo.

Ms Mendes, Deputy to the Assistant Head: Sixth Form, said: “Our second annual Prefect Dinner was a fantastic way to thank and acknowledge our prefect team, who have worked brilliantly to support life across our School.

“We all enjoyed wonderful speeches and delicious food, served by our super chef, Simone. Thoughts turned to nostalgia regarding our boys’ time at Wetherby Senior, as well as discussion of their hopes and dreams for the future.”

Wetherby Senior’s prefects are sixth formers who undertake responsibilities ranging from meeting families at open events to facilitating Trib activities. Through helping our School community in this way, our prefects build vital transferable skills (such as public speaking, confidence, and time management) and gain a valuable experience of leadership and responsibility.
