Advertising aces

Wetherby Senior’s Year 7 have been putting their advertising abilities to the test this term.

During their English lessons, Wetherby Senior’s youngest pupils are currently taking on possible roles within an advertising agency, as they create and design their own advertisement.

Ms Murray, Head of English at Wetherby Senior, explains: “Working together in small teams, as advertising agencies, our boys are being challenged to create their own print advert and social media campaign, as well as prepare a pitch that they need to present to their client – their English teacher!

“As well as building valuable teamwork skills, this project ensures our boys think about their potential audience and the purpose of their advert, as well as unleash their creativity when it comes with creating an eye-catching print advert, an innovative social media campaign, and a dynamic pitch to a tough client!”
