On cloud nine

Wetherby Senior pupil, Max, was awarded a string of top 9 grades for his GCSEs this summer. He is now studying in Wetherby Senior’s Sixth Form.

“I was delighted when I received my GCSE results in August and saw that nine of my subjects had been awarded a grade 9, which is the equivalent of an A* under the old system.

“I joined Wetherby Senior in Year 8, and am now taking A Levels in Economics, Geography, and Government and Politic, within our Sixth Form. As well as having great subject teachers, each sixth former is given a university tutor and we meet regularly to discuss future university options and plans.

“Looking back on my time in Marylebone, I remain impressed with how staff at Wetherby Senior handled lockdown, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I felt that teachers really supported pupils and ensured that we kept up with our academic studies, despite being in this slightly crazy situation.”
