A dynamic result

Congratulations to members of Wetherby Senior’s Year 10 on their recent success in the British Physics Olympiad.

After undertaking two online tests of multiple-choice questions for the national competition, four of our Year 10 pupils were awarded gold and a further nine silver.

Mr Davies, Head of Physics, said: “Congratulations to our gold award winners, Lucas and Rayan, and our silver award winders of Ali, Faiz, Oliver, Callum, Giacomo, Darius, Oscar, Ivan and George.

“Questions covered topics like dynamics, electricity, optics, astronomy, and waves, examining understanding of the curriculum and general knowledge, so it was a challenging experience. All our boys should feel very proud of their achievements.”

The British Physics Olympiad aims to encourage the study of physics and to recognise excellence in young physicists through ten annual physics competitions.
