Our Deputy Head Boy: Academic

Year 13, Andrew, is Wetherby Senior’s Deputy Head Boy: Academic for 2023-24. He joined Wetherby Senior in Year 7, from The Hall School, and is studying A Levels in Maths, Economics, History and Politics.

“I joined Wetherby Senior back in Year 7 and have had a great experience here in Marylebone. With this in mind, while in Year 12, I applied to be a prefect as I wanted to give something back to our School community.

“My advice for new pupils, joining in Year 7 (as I did!) or in Year 9, would be: don’t be nervous! Wetherby Senior is a fantastic school and you will enjoy your time here, so make lots of new friends and be sure to get involved in co-curricular activities.

“Wetherby Senior’s Sixth Form is a friendly and vibrant place to study for your A Levels. I really love coming into Marylebone each day and, alongside taking on the Deputy Head Boy role, I have been given great further leadership opportunities, like volunteering at a local primary school or taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award. DoE was a really rewarding – if tough – experience!

“This year, I will be applying to read law at a number of Russell Group universities across the UK.”
