GCSE Results 2023

Wetherby Senior’s Year 11 have achieved a great set of GCSE results – including a string of top grades – in summer 2023.

GCSE Results Day 2023 at Wetherby Senior saw:

  • 22% at grade 9 (corresponds to the old style grade of A*)
  • 45% at grades 9-8 (corresponds to the old style grades of A*-A)
  • 84% at grades 9-6 (corresponds to the old style grades of A*-B)

In addition, 26% of Wetherby Senior’s Year 11 achieved grades 9-7 (A*-A) in all their GCSE subjects.

Amongst those celebrating on Thursday were Giacomo and Oscar, pictured below. Both achieved 9 and 8 grades in all their exams and will now be joining Wetherby Senior’s Sixth Form to study for their A Levels.

Oscar said: “I’m absolutely delighted with my grades and am very grateful to Wetherby Senior’s teachers and to my family for their continued support throughout my GCSE studies. I’m now looking forward to starting my A Levels in our Sixth Form.”

Mr Silvester, Headmaster, added: “Congratulations to our outgoing Year 11 on achieving these brilliant results, which reflect their hard work, commitment, and determination, plus the strong guidance given by their teachers and families.

“Today’s results will enable our young people to pursue their further ambitions, and I look forward to welcoming many of our boys into our successful Sixth Form this autumn.”
