Headmaster’s blog 01/07/22

And so we reach the last Friday of this academic year and our final full week has included Year 10 parents’ evenings, the last GCSE exams, and the world premiere of our Lower School play, written by Mr Tibbles and featuring superb performances from some of our youngest pupils – well done to all involved on Wednesday and Thursday night.

In addition, as I write this message, our first Wetherby Senior School Summer Fair is in full swing at Hannah House, raising funds for our chosen charities and providing a fun afternoon for all. It has been a real community effort, with involvement by pupils, staff and parents, but I would like to say a special thanks to those teachers who volunteered to take part in the soak the teacher event. What good sports!

Although next week is a shorter than usual, we still have our Sports Day on Monday, our prize giving ceremony on Wednesday, and publication of the latest edition of The Barometer to enjoy before the holiday. With that in mind, I’ll keep this week’s message brief but do expect a bumper newsletter to mark the end of the academic year on Wednesday 6th July.
