Marcos Burnett Photography Competition 2022

Congratulations to the winner of our Marcos Burnett Photography Competition 2022 – Felix in Year 12.

With a theme of ‘Spring’, Wetherby Senior’s popular annual photography competition saw entries from across our School. While Felix was awarded first prize, Deni in Year 9 came second with two great pictures, and Max in Year 11 was placed third.

The Marcos Burnett Photography Competition remembers former pupil, Marcos, who was passionate about photography and nature, and whose life was cut tragically short by the 2016 Italian earthquake.

The Burnett family said: “Each year, the standard gets higher and higher. All photographs submitted were fantastic, it was a very difficult decision to make. We chose this photograph as the winner based on Marcos’ love of evocative scenery and landscapes.”

Felix’s photograph features on the front cover of our latest edition of The Barometer, with further entries for our Marcos Burnett Photography Competition 2022 shown inside our pupil-led magazine.
