All you need is music

Wetherby Senior’s first musical recital of 2022 took place this week, with superb performances by our young musicians.

After the disappointment of our Christmas concert’s cancellation, due to the pandemic, our musical stars were delighted to be in front of audience, gaining valuable performance experience and demonstrating their hard work and musical skills.

Taking part in our Spring Recital were boys in Years 7 to 10, with our GCSE Music pupils performing on a range of instruments – piano, guitar and flute.

Mr Martin, Director of Music, was full of praise for all our young musicians and highlighted a few of the standout performances: “Well done to our Year 7 pupils for excellent work in their first Wetherby Senior concert. Congratulations must go to Li, in Year 10, for closing our recital with his stunning rendition of Chopin’s Fantaisie-Impromptu.”

Our Music Department is now preparing for our forthcoming musical events, including our Spring Concert on Wednesday 9th March.
