Sixth Form Curriculum

Sixth Formers at Wetherby Senior School will follow a course of three A Levels as well as the Extended Project Qualification. Boys wishing to take a fourth subject, Further Maths for example, should discuss this with the Head of Sixth Form.

Playing a full role in the life of the School is important for the boys’ personal growth and members of the Sixth Form will be expected to participate fully in the co-curricular programme.  There will also be an opportunity for boys to gain a greater perspective on important social, political and cultural issues through a wide range of talks, clubs and societies. A programme will be in place to guide the students through the university process, helping them to find the right course and institution for them.  There will be extensive support for all boys applying to Higher Education institutions in the UK, USA and mainland Europe, with dedicated programmes for Oxbridge and Medicine/Dentistry/Veterinary Science candidates.

Wetherby’s A Level offering in 2018/19 is likely to be as follows:

Art and Design Government and Politics
Biology History
Business Studies Latin
Chemistry Mathematics
Economics Further Maths
English Literature Physics
French Spanish
Geography

N.B. There is also the possibility of adding additional subjects if there is sufficient demand.
