Enrichment

The curriculum at Wetherby Senior is underpinned by the Growth Mindset, a learning philosophy centred on the belief that a person’s talent, ability and performance can be improved. By helping our boys to develop self-awareness and self-challenge, we inspire them to be the very best they can be in all aspects of their academic and cultural life at the School.

As well as offering the full range of traditional academic and creative subjects, we have also embedded Philosophy as part of the core curriculum for all boys up to the age of 16. The School’s aim is to ensure that students think and discuss in a rigorous fashion and ideas are justified as much as possible.

Each of our departments run a variety of optional academic and co-curricular trips for the boys. In addition, the PSHE programme and many subjects invite guest speakers to give talks and presentations on a wide variety of subjects.
