Our Year 8 pupils may have been too young to enjoy the London 2012 Olympic Games but that didn’t stop them studying its impact on regeneration to Stratford.

As I write this week’s message, our boys are enjoying a busy and rewarding Field Day. Activities range from a geography trip to Stratford for Year 8 to a Science Museum visit for Year 9 to Duke of Edinburgh expeditions for many in Years 10 and 12.

Young actors, in Years 7 to 9, can audition next week for parts in our 2022 Lower School production.

Wetherby Senior’s sixth formers have successfully applied to world-leading universities in the UK and beyond, with a range of offers received for top institutions in North America.

Through volunteer work in the local community, sixth formers at Wetherby Senior have been helping older people get with the (computer) program.

And so we reach the midway point of this half of our Spring Term. This week, events at School have ranged from our current Year 7 parents’ evening to a Visitor Morning for prospective pupils, and a successful Spring Concert at Hannah House to a well-attended Careers Fair at nearby Queen’s College, London.

Cello, trombone, brass, guitar, strings, and our School Choir – our Spring Concert showcased the excellence of music ensembles across Wetherby Senior.

Opening night for Wetherby Senior’s Trib Drama is just over two weeks away, after a two-year delay caused by the pandemic.

Young people at Wetherby Senior raised over £5,000 for charity, cycling the River Thames in a 12-hour long competition, all from the comfort of our School’s spin studio.
